Cummins Nitro picks $20m Subway business Anila Azhar
Brisbane-based Cummins Nitro has picked up the national creative business for sandwich chain Subway following a two-way shoot out.
B&T understands the account is worth $20m.
Cummins Nitro won the business after defeating local rivals BCM.
The pitch was contested by several Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne agencies with a shortlist of two.
Michael Branagh managing director at Cummins Nitro Brisbane said: “The win came at the end of amazing year for Cummins Nitro Brisbane which saw the agency more than triple in size off the back of growth from existing clients and 11 new client wins including Stockland, V Australia, Storm Financial, Sunshine Coast Airport and now Subway.”
Late last year the agency was also shortlisted for pizza chain, Dominos’ creative business alongside The Campaign Palace and McCann Erikson. Cummins Nitro is believed to have withdrawn from the pitch to concentrate on winning the Subway business. The Campaign Palace was awarded the account.
Cummins Nitro was named B&T’s Queensland Agency of the Year for 2007 at last month’s award ceremony.
