Krispy Kreme teams with charity to promote CBD opening

KRISPY Kreme has begun promoting the opening to consumers of its first Sydney store by joining forces with children’s rights charity Save the Children.

The doughnut chain marketer is planning to hold a fundraising event in conjunction with the charity in the hear of Sydney’s CBD at Wynyard Park next week.

Wynyard Park is near Wynyard train and bus station, one of the busiest commuter areas in Sydney. Krispy Kreme—which has a tradition of eschewing advertising for PR and sampling to promote its product—will be selling its doughnuts at the park with proceeds going to the charity.

The new city store on the corner of York St and Wynyard Place will open in May.
