Virgin Mobile names new marketing director Caroline Adam
Virgin Mobile has appointed Jon Bradshaw, a former commercial development director at premium drinks business Diageo, as its new marketing director.
Bradshaw takes up the new post on February 4, and will oversee a team of 40 ranging from public relations and advertising to product marketing and handsets.
Whiel at Diageo Bradshaw managed a portfolio of brands including Guinness, Smirnoff, Bailey’s and Johnnie Walker. He also worked for the Diageo brand in New York as the global vice president for Smirnoff and in the UK as the commercial director.
Most recently, Bradshaw was running his own small boutique consulting firm, working with brands including Coca Cola, Fidelity Investments and Kraft.
Virgin Mobile chief executive Matt Davey said Bradshaw “brings with him a wealth of experience in the marketing profession”.
Bradshaw replaces Sue Bailey, who left the company’s Australian operations in mid-December to take up a role at Virgin Mobile USA. Brand general manager Richard Field also stepped down from his role at the end of last year, returning to his native South Africa to start his own brand consultancy.
