Ten teams up with Fox for TV Fugitive MAria Ligerakis
THE MELBOURNE radio scene is buzzing with activity, with FOX FM teaming up with Channel 10 to launch a new radio and TV show called The Fugitive and the radio ratings season just around the corner.
The fugitive was earlier this week set loose on the streets of Melbourne and the new show documents the public’s quest to locate the elusive identity.
FOX FM presenters will give clues throughout the day on the location of the fugitive, with a cash bounty of up to $100,000 up for grabs for the person who can successfully identify the fugitive.
“The Fox FM Fugitive… he could be your neighbour, he could be your friend, he could be standing next to you right now - but if you don’t ask, you can’t win,” according to promotional ads.
In other radio news, Rachel Corbett (of Big Brother fame) has joined the Triple M breakfast team in Melbourne after making the move from Sydney to Melbourne.
Meanwhile, outspoken radio personality Derryn Hinch has returned to 3AK, just months after contract negotiations faltered and he vowed he’d never return to radio.
In the upcoming radio ratings battle, Melbourne newcomer NOVA 100 is set to give FOX FM a run for its money.
NOVA launched in Sydney last year and has been successful in snatching a slice of the radio pie.
