 MEDIA EYE
No bikini covers
Philip Luker

REUBEN Buchanan, who in February launched Wealthcreator without any publishing experience (Media Eye, February 21), this week launches HLF Health, Lifestyle and Fitness monthly.

He said: "It will be the first health and fitness magazine aimed equally at both sexes. We'll vary the covers, girls and boys, but no girls in bikinis. I've kept fit since I was 10, but I never read health magazines and HLF is aimed at people like me.

"The first cover story is about Grant Hackett's diet, pool training sessions, motivation and psychology."

The launch HLF will have 68 pages (including 20 ad pages), cost $4.95 and have a 15,000 distribution through newsagencies—Buchanan hopes to sell 30% of them—plus 15,000 to fitness clubs, free for six months.
