J&J brand Splenda appoints Sputnik

Johnson & Johnson’s Splenda sweetener brand has appointed Sputnik as its new digital agency.

A range of digital campaign elements will be produced for the brand, including web development, online advertising and social media, and a new digital campaign is set to launch early next year.

The win adds to Sputnik’s presence in Sydney, with the client list now including Google, Sanitarium, Luna Park, City of Sydney, the Australian Export Finance and Insurance Corporation and the NSW Department of Small Business.

Stephen O’Farrell, Managing Director of Sputnik, said: “We’re looking forward to working with Johnson & Johnson’s McNeil Nutritionals division to find fresh and relevant ways to connect people with Splenda.

“Since appointing our new Sydney director, Rodd Messent, a couple of months ago, we’ve had a real focus on growing our Sydney operations.”

“The Splenda business win is a very positive step early on in our growth strategy and hopefully is an indication of the success that lies ahead for the agency.”

The agency has been shortlisted as Interactive Agency of the Year in the 2009 B&T Awards.

Sputnik was established in Melbourne in 1998 and now operates in Sydney and Adelaide, and employs a team of over 80 staff. It is owned by Kit Digital.
