Destra ties up with MySpace

Digital media firm Destra has signed a partnership deal with social networking site MySpace to launch four branded channels on MySpace TV.

Destra will provide content from its extreme sports, www.PlanetX.com.au, short films, www.Niceshorts.com.au, fashion, www.Oystermag.com, and dance music, www.ThreeDworld.com.au websites.

Advertising revenue will be shared between Destra and MySpace, and content will be free to all MySpace users.

“Destra is excited about the potential for this alliance and we are looking forward to our content reaching over 3 million Australian MySpace members,” said Domenic Carosa, Destra CEO. “Destra will enable MySpace Australia users to access the ultimate in video content across our various genres; extreme sports, fashion, short films and dance music.”

The deal with MySpace comes after Destra bought youth title 3D World and Oyster Magazine last month.
