Lion Nathan has made sweeping changes to its marketing team, including hiring Virgin Mobile marketing director Jon Bradshaw.
The marketing moves are the first from new national marketing director Matt Tapper since he replaced Margaret Zabel in January. As part of the changes, current category director Arno Lenior has decided to leave and is planning to launch his own consultancy.
Virgin Mobile’s Bradshaw, who also worked for drinks giant Diageo, is joining the business in April as brand director across the brands XXXX, Tooheys and West End.
Ralph Simpson, currently group innovations and insights director, is to become brand director for James Boag’s, Hahn Super Dry, James Squire, Barefoot and the portfolio of brands – including Beck’s and Budweiser – from partner Anheuser-Busch InBev.
Current marketing capability leader Tami Cunningham is to become innovations director, and will be responsible for bringing the company’s new product development to market.
Caspar Wright will move into the marketing team to the role of category, planning and insights director, moving from the sales team.
Anna Lawrence, currently national sponsorship manager, will have an expanded role as sponsorship and communications director.
National marketing chief Tapper said: “The new structure ensures we are leveraging our skills across sales, marketing, innovation and insights in a collaborative, cohesive fashion. By ensuring we understand what’s shaping our marketplace we can support, long-term growth of our business, and those of our customers.”
The changes will come into effect in March and April.
