You Can Also Turn Coca-Cola Packaging To Virtual Reality Goggles

Just after McDonald’s announced that Swedes can turn their Happy Meal boxes into virtual reality goggles, Coca-Cola has also announced its packaging can be turned into virtual reality glasses for smartphones.

The cardboard packaging of 12 fridge packs of Coke products can be folded into VR goggles, perforated section of the pack can be folded and assembled:

“Every few years, there’s some new application of technology that becomes the darling of the industry,” Nick Felder, global group director of Film and Music Production for Coca-Cola said in a press release. “A few years ago, for example, it was 3-D at home, but that never took off. Now it’s VR, and the experience is finally living up to its promise.”

“Cardboard headsets are democratizing VR for the masses,” Felder said. “They’re affordable, viable and a damn good experience.”
