Woolworths on hunt for new tech boss after resignation

Woolworths is on the lookout for a new chief information officer (CIO) after Dan Beecham resigned to take up a post at British supermarket Morrisons.

Beecham (pictured), who has held the CIO role at Woolworths since 2007, will relocate to the UK and start his new role early next year, According to Australian Financial Review.

Woolworths will conduct a global search for a new technology chief to replace Beecham.

"Dan has been a valued member of the team here at Woolworths and we wish him well for the future. We are currently in the process of recruiting at new CIO,” said Woolworths in a statement.

Last month, the supermarket giant announced that it had hired Jess Gill to the role of general manager of marketing for its supermarkets.
