Wieden + Kennedy Tops YouTube’s Creative Agency Leaderboard

Ad agency Wieden + Kennedy has taken the top honours in YouTube’s creative agency leaderboard for agencies that best used video content in 2015.

TBWA’s Media Arts Lab came second with silver, with Barton F. Graf and GoPro Original Productions tied for bronze.

The list celebrated the agencies that had the most number of ads appear on YouTube’s creative leaderboard list each month. The ads that are included on the list are compiled from a YouTube algorithm. The algorithm “factors in organic and paid views, watch time and audience retention”.

Wieden + Kennedy’s work appeared eight times on the leaderboards throughout the year. TBWA’s appeared seven times and Barton F. Graf’s and GoPro Original Productions both appeared six times.

In the year list Weiden + Kennedy’s work for FIFA and its Play Beautiful commercial was the top ranked ad for the year.

Second ranked for Weiden + Kennedy was Pepsi Max’s ‘Uncle Drew’.

Other pieces of work which appeared were KFC’s Address, Old Spice’s And So It Begins and The Internetest Safety video on the internet.

When it came to the seven pieces of work from TBWA’s Media Arts Lab, all of the appearances were for the iPhone in some form or another. Below is a sample of some of them. Watch all of them here.

Barton F. Graf had four pieces of work it did for video game Clash of Clans, and two for its Boom Beach work. Below is one of the ads that made the list, the official Super Bowl ad for Clash of Clans.

All of GoPro Original Productions ads were, unsurprisingly, for GoPro. Below is a couple of the YouTube clips included. There’s a sample below and you can see all of them here.
