Wednesday TV Wrap: MAFS Slowly Roasts MKR As It Sautées To A 745K Viewer Lead

It was another huge night for MAFS last night, pulling an impressive 1.4 million viewers according to the overnight OzTAM numbers.

And MAFS’ triumph came at MKR’s expense. Seven’s amateur cook-off pulling an all-time low of just 662,000 and leaving it a worrying 745,000 behind its rival.

MAFS’ numbers handed Nine a huge audience share, snaring 36 per cent of last night’s eyeballs. Seven had 26.9 per cent and the ABC took third and 15.8 per cent. That left 10 with 13.6 per cent, while SBS had 7.7 per cent thanks to Australia In Colour (339,000) that continues to do good numbers for the multicultural broadcaster.

In the battle of breakfast, Sunrise (270,000) flogged Today (178,000).

Seven’s 6pm news (950,000) had bragging rights over Nine’s (930,000), while ACA did 808,000.

10’s best was the up-again, down-again The Project, which was down again to 397,000. 10 News First was last with 372,000 and Bondi Rescue – with 370,000 –  appears in need of some resuscitation.

Home And Away (628,000) and The Chase (565,000) were Seven’s other standouts.

For Nine, New Amsterdam (460,000) and Hot Seat (456,000) boosted its numbers.

The ABC’s evening went thus: 7pm news (685,000), Hard Quiz (627,000), 7.30 (592,000) and Rosehaven (454,000). And that, friends, are your TV numbers.
