Wednesday TV Wrap: The Once Invincible MKR Becomes Very Vincible Indeed

Wednesday TV Wrap: The Once Invincible MKR Becomes Very Vincible Indeed

Seven’s untouchable cooking show, My Kitchen Rules, has suddenly become very touchable after it fell to its lowest audience ever last night.

It could be said the Winter Olympics are messing with a lot of the TV numbers at the moment, but as MKR’s also on Seven then that probably isn’t the cause.

MKR pulled 930,000 viewers last night and fell under the magic million for the first time. However, it has to be said, the number is hardly a disaster.

Nine’s Married At First Sight continued to dominate with 1.13 million viewers.

It was similarly bad news for Ten, with I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! pulling a lowly 515,000 and continuing to head south.

Seven still won the night with a massive 39 per cent audience share. Nine pulled 27.4 per cent, the ABC and Ten  both managed 13.7 per cent and SBS pulled 6.2 per cent.

The Winter Olympics had its worst night thus far, managing 750,000.

The ABC’s night went – 7pm news (662,000), 7:30 (523,000), Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell (489,000), QI (385,000), Squinters (333,000), Adam Hills: The Last Leg (199,000) and Think Tank (166,000).

Over at the SBS it was bridges doing all the damage with 263,000 viewers tuning in for World’s Greatest Bridges.
