WATCH: The Project’s Waleed Aly Calls Interviewee “A Jerk” & Walks Off Set

Gold Logie winner and host of The Project, Waleed Aly, enjoys nothing more than giving guests on Ten’s flagship current affairs show a good grilling, but one particular interviewee got under his skin so much on last night’s episode that he was forced to abandon his post.

Featuring in a segment about character references in court, Aly interviewed none other than himself on the topic, which saw the host pull out his earpiece midway through and storm off the set.

The interview acted as a response to criticism over Aly’s recent provision of a character reference for AFL player Bachar Houli, after the Richmond Tigers player was handed a two-match ban for striking Carlton Blues player Jed Lamb.
