Newspaper Mistakes Footy Star For Gangsta Rapper

We’re all too aware of the staff layoffs at Aussie newspaper publishers, but it appears some of their Irish cousins are grossly understaffed too.

The latest clanger came from the Ireland’s The Herald who was reporting on Everton football player Romelu Lukaku’s pending shift to EPL rival club Manchester United for a whopping £75 million ($A126 million) transfer fee.


However, in all the excitement, The Herald’s poor old befuddled picture editor managed to mix up the 24-year-old Belgian striker’s photo with an image of UK gangsta rapper Stormzy.

To be fair, both Stormzy and Lukaku do look remarkably similar, a fact even Stormzy had previously  commented on.
