Ride sharing app Uber has partnered with Pandora Radio to play the music streaming app in Uber’s numerous vehicles across the US, Australia and New Zealand.
It’s not a prerequisite when hopping in an Uber car, but the option to play ad-free music is available.
“Many drivers already use music to get their day started on the right note, but it can be challenging to find high quality music that both drivers and riders love—without radio ads and interruptions to the music,” said Bob Cowherd, senior product manager for music and media at Uber in the States.
“This integration, which will allow drivers to play music on Pandora from directly within the Uber app, will make it easier for drivers and riders to listen to the music they love.”
Pandora US’s senior product manager Nick Marcantonio added: “Pandora is delivering the perfect music experience for both Uber drivers and riders. Effortless, personalised and elegantly integrated into the app, the Pandora-Uber solution will transform the in-car listening experience.”
