Tuesday TV Wrap: Nine Takes The Honours, As Hamish & Andy Gets The Wobbles

It was a tale of success (Nine’s The Block), and tales of woe (Seven’s Hell’s Kitchen and Nine’s True Story with Hamish & Andy), judging by last night’s OzTAM numbers.

The Block landed 1.04 million viewers and gave Nine the bragging rights for the evening.

However, Hamish and Andy’s show took a surprising hit, managing just 766,000 viewers and down 40 per cent from its launch episode on June the 5th.

Equally, Seven’s Hell’s Kitchen can’t appear to get out of its rut, managing a disappointing 540,000.

Nine won the with 29.6 per cent viewer share, then Seven 25.9 per cent, Ten 20.2 per cent, ABC 16.8per cent and SBS 7.5 per cent.

Seven claimed the most watched show of the night with its 6pm news bulletin pulling 1.05 million. Its other cooking show, repeats of Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares USA, was also lacklustre with 390,000.

For Ten, The Project was its best performer with 553,000, while Shark Tank appears to be having trouble buying viewers, managing only 461,000.

Over at the ABC its The House with Annabel Crabb did well with 603,000, although its 7pm news bulletin was its best performer, pulling 725,000.

For SBS, its top rater was Great American Railroad Journeys with 333,000.
