Tuesday TV Wrap: Oh Dear! ABC Knocks Ten Into Fourth Spot

It’s blushed cheeks and silent stares over at the Ten Network this morning after it was thumped into an embarrassing fourth position in last night’s viewer numbers.

Ten could muster just 17.5 per cent viewer share and was soundly beaten by Nine who won the night with 31.3 per cent, Seven with 27.3 per cent and even the ABC with 17.7 per cent. SBS had 6.2 per cent.

Ten’s best was Australian Survivor that could only muster 691,000 and The Project that had a disappointing 491,000. Shark Tank was also sharply down, managing just 371,000.

The ABC’s night was led by its 7pm news bulletin (773,000), followed by The War On Waste (644,000), 7.30 (571,000), Foreign Correspondent (527,000) and Who Killed Belinda Peisely? (297,000).

Once again it was The Block that did the damage for Nine, the stalwart reno show pulling 921,000. The return of True Story With Hamish & Andy saw 749,000 tune in, while 1.01 million watched the network’s 6pm news bulletin. ACA had 869,000.

Over at Seven, its 6pm news bulletin was the most watched show of the night, boasting 1.05 million viewers. On the downside for the network, Dance Boss (573,000) is fast becoming a concern, while Andrew Denton’s Interview pulled a decent-ish 473,000.

Over at the SBS, its best was Who Do You Think You Are? which had 246,000 viewers tune in.
