Thursday TV Wrap: 10’s Googlebox-I’m A Celeb Combo Gives Rivals A Cheeky Tickle

Channel 10 had one of its best nights in a long time last night thanks to the returning Googlebox and MAFS and MKR taking a well-earned night off.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here enjoyed one of its best nights of the 2019 series, pulling 800,000 viewers last night according to OzTAM five city metro numbers. It was the fourth most watched show of the night and the night’s most watched entertainment show.

Googlebox returned with 715,000 and was the second most watched entertainment show of the evening.

10 snared an impressive 24.7 per cent audience share, however, that still left it agonisingly behind victor Seven (26.4 per cent) and second-placed Nine (25.2 per cent). The ABC had 16.7 per cent and SBS managed a neat seven.

Seven’s 6pm news (926,000) and Today Tonight (840,000) were the two most watched shows of the evening. The Chase (461,000) and The Big Bash (412,000) were the network’s other standouts.

Over at Nine, its 6pm news pulled 821,000, ACA had 683,000, Young Sheldon pulled 453,000 and Hot Seat managed 425,000.

10’s other highlights were The Project (404,000) and 10 News First (379,000).

The ABC’s evening ran thus: 7pm news (637,000), 7.30 (562,000) and Escape From The City (440,000).
