Taylor Swift Stars In Latest Apple Music Ad

Taylor Swift, who has a rocky relationship with music streaming sites, has thrown her support behind Apple Music appearing in a advertising spot to promote its three month free trial.

In the 60-second spot, Swifty gets so wrapped up in the song Jumpman by Drake and Future that she falls off the treadmill. The creative is supposedly “based on true events”.

Tay Tay is not the biggest support of music streaming sites, especially Spotify which she refuses to give access to her music. Swift believes that Spotify’s freemium model is destroying the music business.

Last year, she had a very public dispute with Apple Music where she attacked the streaming site for not paying musicians during the service’s three month free trial.

The dispute ended with Apple’s Senior vp of Internet Services, Eddy Cue, confirming via Twitter that Apple music streaming will pay artists during its three month free trial period.

In response, Swift agreed to allow her album 1989 on the service- which is the only streaming service to feature the album. Her 1989 World Tour documentary was also made available exclusively on Apple Music.

In November last year, Apple Music CEO Jimmy Iovine was forced to apologies after saying that “women find it very difficult at times — some women — to find music” during CBS This Morning.
