After last month’s announcement of four new pivotal staff, Taboo has appointed more talented specialists to support the agency’s recent growth across key clients including Telstra, TAC, CUB, MECCA and Schnitz.

Khia Croy has joined Taboo as acting client services director.

Khia spent a number of years at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, where most recently she led the MARS Petcare account.

During her time on St Kilda Road, Khia also worked across the CUB, Asaleo Care, La Trobe University and Melbourne International Comedy Festival accounts.

Senior account manager Sarah Gates also joins Taboo from Clemenger BBDO, where she has most recently played key roles in delivering the AFL’s ‘Don’t Believe in Never’ campaign, and Aboriginal Victoria’s recent ‘Deadly Questions’ campaign.

Sarah also worked on DrinkWise, Australia Post and AHM Insurance, and brings this experience to her new client base – Telstra, CUB and Schnitz.

Suzi Williamson also joins Taboo as a senior account manager and will be largely working across TAC, Telstra, MECCA and Haagen Dazs.

Suzi comes to Taboo from Leo Burnett, where she managed the anti-bullying Reword campaign from its infancy to fruition.

Suzi was recently in Cannes, picking up a suitcase full of Lions on behalf of the whole team, adding to the collection of Effies, Pencils, Webbies (to name a few) the Reword campaign has won.

She has previously worked on Bonds, Jay Jays and Peters Ice Cream.

Taboo’s experiential production work has been scaling up with major pieces of work on MECCA, Myer, Haagen Dazs and CUB.

To help take these productions to the next level, Taboo has appointed senior producer Jacqui Brown.

Jacqui’s diverse career experiences includes working as a model agent, sitting on the board for Department of Culture & The Arts (WA), and winning Cosmopolitan’s Fun, Fearless, Female Entrepreneur of the Year.

She has produced shows for some of Australia’s biggest events and fashion retailers, including David Jones and Myer, the latter at which she was eventually poached to manage their in-house events and sponsorships.

Taboo Director James Mackinnon says, “While the agency is growing at a rapid rate, we need to make sure we grow in the right way, and that means hiring carefully to protect our unique offering and culture.

“Each of these people are stars in their own right and could work anywhere they want – so we feel really fortunate that they’ve joined our team.”
