Sunday TV Wrap: It’s All The Block, As Hell’s Kitchen Gives Seven More Tummy Trouble

It was a case of steady as we go for Sunday night TV watchers, with The Block again romping it home last night, as Seven’s Hell’s Kitchen continues its downward spiral, and, once again, the ABC pipped the Ten Network.

Nine’s The Block won bragging rights after an impressive 1.35 million viewers tuned in. Hell’s Kitchen could only muster 543,000 viewers, while over at Ten Australian Survivor pulled 633,000.

It was also a win for Nine, who took home 33.2 per cent audience share, followed by Seven with 26.4 per cent. Once again the ABC pipped Ten for third position (16.9 per cent versus 13.9 per cent). SBS had 9.6 per cent.

Nine’s news also won the battle of the 6pm bulletins, taking 1.2 million viewers to Seven’s 1.16 million. Seven’s Sunday Night had 951,000 to 60 Minutes’ 867,000; however, the two shows weren’t up against one another.

Survivor was the best for Ten followed by its news bulletin with 309,000 and the movie Taken with 283,000.

Over at the ABC, its 7pm news managed 711,00, followed by Midsomer Murders (671,000) and Grand Designs New Zealand (510,000).

The best for SBS was Great Wall of China: The Hidden Story which pulled 336,000.
