Sting, Jimmy Barnes & The Living End Star In New Ad for Triple M

Rock royalty, Aussie sporting legends and a selection of Triple M’s most popular hosts have come together to launch the radio network’s new campaign.

The new campaign builds on Triple M’s rebrand across regional Australia in December 2016, and features Cold Chisel’s iconic track Rising Sun, along with appearances from the band’s frontman, Jimmy Barnes, as well as fellow rockers Sting and The Living End.

It also features a number of Triple M program hosts and Aussie sporting legends, including Roy Slaven and HG Nelson, Eddie McGuire, Peter Sterling, Mick Molloy, Matty Johns, Mark Geyer, Wendell Sailor, and Chris Judd.

The campaign will run across outdoor, transit, TV, print, digital and social mediums in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane. The campaign will also run in Perth for mix94.5.

Nikki Clarkson, head of marketing at Southern Cross Austereo (Triple M’s parent company), said Triple M is the only radio brand that has stood for Aussie rock, sport and comedy for the last 30 years.

“This campaign not only heroes our own on-air talent, but includes great rock and sporting icons – those who have been an integral part of Triple M over the decades,” she said.

“We are excited to build on the campaign we launched for Triple M across regional Australia in December 2016 with this new work for our metro stations. Triple M is now truly a national brand.”
