Star Wars Fans, Are You Ready For Another TEN Films?!

If you’re a fan of the Star Wars flicks, then today is a good day for you, with Disney apparently in talks to bust out another ten of the money-making bad boys.

Executives are in talks for five more films after 2020, with two trilogy episodes and three spin-offs already in the works.

The next film on the line-up includes Star Wars: Episode VIII, featuring Daisy Ridley and all the usual suspects, with the release date set around December 15 2017.

The two other agreed movies have not been revealed, although rumours suggest there will be a Star Wars IX in 2019, with the third movie out the following year.

Disney are now working on more projects that explore characters new and old, with solo movies for Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mace Windu among the plots currently on the table.

Executive producer JJ Abrams told The Sun, “There are some really cool things being discussed. It is very exciting to see how it is being put together.”

Another ‘source’, who of course is reliable and real, also added, “The success of The Force Awakens has given executives much to think about.

“So many characters’ backstories and futures can now be brought to life. When these ideas came from George Lucas 40 years ago, technology was lagging behind. Now they can be turned around in a year.”

Disney paid Lucas a cool $5. 3 billion for the rights in 2012, and banked $2.9 billion from the 2015 movie The Force Awakens even before DVDs hit the stands. The Force Awakens currently stands as the highest grossing movie in US history and the third highest worldwide.
