Following on from its ‘you’re not you when you’re hungry’ global campaign, Snickers in Russia has launched a print campaign with its name emblazoned on competitor chocolates.
Created by BBDO in Russia, the ads feature the word ‘Snickers’ on chocolate wrappers baring resemblance to Mars Bar, Twix and Bounty.
The ads appeared in print, according to Ads of the World.
Snickers appears to be upping its branding push on a global scale.
The other week the chocolate brand revealed it was behind a number of the dumbest apps found in the App Store.
People who downloaded these apps – which included ‘Is my phone on?’, an app that required users to open their phone and press a button to see if it was on – was another play on the ‘You’re not you when you’re hungry’ campaign.
Too, Snickers released an ad of a badly photoshopped model asking users to point out all the mistakes. Clearly the designer behind the ad had been hungry and made errors that included a high-up belly button and uneven background.
