Simon Lawson Promoted To General Manager Of PHD Melbourne

PHD Melbourne has announced the promotion of group business director, Simon Lawson, to general manager of PHD Melbourne.

Lawson was one of the founding members of PHD Melbourne in 2012 and has successfully led the ANZ account since his arrival.

Lawson is the archetypal PHDer; a smart critical thinker with a modern perspective on media, placing equal emphasis on marketing science and creativity to deliver the best business results for PHD’s clients.

PHD Melbourne has grown significantly in the last 18 months, bringing in new clients like 7-Eleven, Bakers Delight and Slater + Gordon. Lawson has been fundamental in these wins and will look to continue to grow the business.

Of the appointment, Lawson said, “After five years at PHD Melbourne, I’m humbled to take on the role of General Manager, I can’t wait to get started. My focus will be on helping our team of talented media professionals continue to deliver PHD media smarts to our broad range of clients”.

He is set to replace Daniel Isaac, who has been in the role for the last two years after initially joining PHD in a strategy role on ANZ Bank. Isaac, also receiving a promotion, will be taking a senior position within Omnicom Media Group.
