Signal Snags Michael Twomey As MD Of New Marketing Solution

People-based marketing company Signal has appointed Michael Twomey as the head of its brand spanking new independent advertising solution.

Twomey comes from Coles, where he spent four years developing the supermarket giant’s programmatic capabilities.

“The precision targeting and one-on-one engagement that brands get using first-party data in their direct marketing efforts can also be applied to digital advertising,” Twomey said. “Over the last four years, this approach has been proven, and I am thrilled to join Signal and make this people-based marketing solution available to advertisers and media buyers in Australia.”

“I am particularly impressed with Signal’s proven track record helping companies like Yahoo! Japan, one of the world’s largest Internet brands, execute targeted marketing with laser-sharp precision, broad reach, market-wide scale, and at the lightning-fast speed which always-on consumers are making buying decisions. Signal’s technology, which targets people rather than cookies, eliminates the guesswork, waste and fraud involved in buying digital media, and is the way forward for the advertising industry.”

The new solution allows advertisers to tailor more relevant advertising to customers. The solution extends the one-to-one marketing of email to wider media channels.

“By using Signal’s platform, advertisers can improve the experience for customers and significantly improve the efficiency of marketing investment across digital devices,” Twomey explained.
“Signal’s advanced capabilities for reaching consumers rather than cookies eliminates the guesswork and ad-tech fraud involved in buying digital media, making it more effective for brands and agencies to provide a better customer experience, creating a win-win for everyone.”

Mike Sands, CEO of Signal, said the new offering further gives advertisers and media buyers the option to target relevant content to consumers.

“We are pleased to have the innovative digital leaders from flybuys as launch customers.”
