Shootsta Announces US & UK Expansion Plans

Aussie video tech start-up Shootsta has announced its plans to expand to the US and the UK by January 2018.

The news, announced at its second birthday party last night, comes off the back of its launch of two new offices – Melbourne and Singapore – in 2017.

Within the year, the company will look to hire a general manager for a new London office, a head of video and a customer success manager to buoy its growth.

Shootsta CEO and co-founder Mike Pritchett (pictured above, left) said: “We are already working with some of the largest global brands, so it makes sense to turn our company into a global business.

“The rapid success of Shootsta speaks to a shift in the marketing landscape. Marketers are learning that timely use of video – be it for education, customer service or promotion – has significantly higher cut-through than any other medium.

“Video is easier to shoot and use in any communications strategy than ever before, and we are simply helping more companies realise that.”

The start-up has gone strength to strength since its launch in 2015. In the past year, Shootsta has quadrupled its number of staff (from 8 to 32) and quadrupled its number of blue chip customers (from 20 to 80).

Some of its big-ticket clients include Qantas, Starhub, Oracle, Visa and Stockland.
