Seven’s newest program, the Seven Year Switch, kicked off to a receptive, albeit awkward, audience of 858,000 last night, coming in seventh behind various news and of course the ever popular My Kitchen Rules.

But the show wasn’t your typical ‘finding-true-love’ reality show you’d normally find on any given channel on any given night. This show actually swaps couples with other partners to see if it can help resolve their struggling relationships.

Genius? Maybe not.

The four couples have a number of issues between them all, from lack of intimacy to being a man-child to being a “bossy bitch”. For a comprehensive rundown on each and every couple, click here.

Twitter also got in on the entertainment, although it seemed people were more sad than elated.

Oh well, time will tell if this “therapy” actually works.
