Sedona Productions Opens Its Doors

Offering a platform for agencies and clients to streamline collaboration with award-winning local and international directors, boutique production house and mixed media specialist Sedona Productions has opened its doors.

Sedona is the brainchild of former Exit Films managing director and award-winning producer Kim Wildenburg (pictured above). With a career spanning over 19 years working in Australia and the United States, Wildenburg has experience delivering across live action, design, post production and emerging technologies.

Based in Sydney’s Surry Hills, Sedona will specialise in projects ranging from artful live-action integrating seamless VFX, automotive campaigns, playful graphic design and character animation, through to VR, AR, interactive and experiential projects.

Each job will be assessed individually on the merits of where the best creative output can be achieved, whilst also factoring in production efficiencies.

With the aim to shoot and post locally as much as possible, Sedona also provides clients the option to tap into the larger studio network of artists, designers, engineers and technologists based locally and overseas.

Wildenburg said all of Sedona’s directors have been selected for their strong visual language, amazing talent pool of collaborators and concept-to-delivery approach.

“I believe this not only heightens the creative output, but also provides production efficiencies throughout the process,” she said.

Sedona’s current roster includes award-winning commercial and interactive studio Nexus Studios; Sydney based-directors, illustrators and animators Mighty Nice; and Gentleman Scholar, which is passionate about fusing story, style, technology and design.

Also on board is Assembly, a team of directors, artists, engineers, designers and animators based out of Auckland; Mill+, an integrated team of directors and designers at the heart of the powerhouse The Mill; Melbourne-based design and animation company XYZ Studios; Quad Production’s sister design, animation and direction company, Wizz; award-winning automotive specialists and directing collective Carnage; independent visual director Paul Mitchell; and Blacklist directors Cisma and Terry Hall.

“Having worked with many of these companies and directors in the past has not only resulted in a level of familiarity and experience in understanding their process, but has also provided me with confidence, knowing that the directors are able to consistently devise intelligent and inventive solutions to any creative brief,” Wildenburg said.
