The Royals Appoint Paige Kilburn As Senior Account Director

This week, independent agency The Royals announced the appointment of Paige Kilburn to senior account director, Melbourne.

Kilburn comes with extensive international experience across both agency and client organisations, having most recently served as growth manager for Mars in the UAE, and prior to that as regional account director for TBWA Europe and Sapient Nitro in the Middle East.

Kilburn’s appointment comes after a series of new hires across The Royals’ Melbourne and Sydney offices. In July the Agency announced the appointment of Michaela Futcher from Droga 5 as planning director, Sydney, and Andrew Reeves from Naked as communications director in Melbourne. While earlier this week, Ant Hatton from DDB was appointed executive creative director of The Royals’ Melbourne office. All appointments come off the back of recent business growth including Sensis, Deakin University, MRC, and Google.

Steve O’Farrell, managing partner at The Royals said: “Paige represents the next wave of leadership at The Royals as we look to bolster our foundations for growth. Paige is both interesting and interested, comes with a unique blend of brand, creative and operational expertise, not to mention a heap of awards from some of the world’s most highly regarded agencies. Being a Kiwi she’s also really nice – not at all like Australians”.

Kilburn said: “It’s great to be back down-under and I’ve really landed on my feet at the Royals – a wonderfully diverse, collaborative and authentic group of hustlers on a mission to learn and lead by asking the right questions and challenging the status quo.  It’s a really exciting time for the agency with so much going on.  I’m already elbow deep in loads of brilliant work and the joys of discovering fabulous Melbourne”.
