Royal Automobile Club of WA Launches Mobile First Members Portal

Experience management software company Sitecore has announced the Royal Automobile Club in Western Australia (RAC WA) has gone live with the myRAC portal which provides members with a unique, personalised experience for content and information relating to their own individual membership.

Built on a mobile first user strategy by Sitecore partner, Deloitte Digital, myRAC enables members to manage their RAC membership and brings together a range of self-service options and member benefits in one place for consumer convenience. Users can login anywhere, anytime from their mobile, tablet or PC devices. myRAC is also encrypted with SSL so members can be sure their online transactions and private information are completely secure.

Within myRAC, the organisation’s 820,000 members can now directly manage their RAC roadside, insurance and finance products and view their payment, renewal details and active insurance claims. myRAC also allows RAC Members to view and update personal details, access member benefits, shop online, track how much they have saved in the year and view the latest member benefits, including fuel and travel discount details.

myRAC uses the robust Sitecore Experience Platform which gives digital marketers the flexibility to work with content using traditional and search-based methods. This enables the organisation to deliver a new level of relevant and personalised digital experiences to members. The platform’s search-based capabilities also allow RAC to precisely manage search facets, result boosting, and content tagging for delivering relevant and immediate results.

Additionally, Sitecore scales to virtually unlimited content volumes, enabling the RAC WA digital marketing team to ultimately access millions of pieces of content and fully leverage massive repositories of news or product information.

The Sitecore deployment at RAC WA follows a three-month evaluation process during which time several solutions were evaluated with Sitecore presenting the best feature functionality.

“The key priority for RAC WA is to help provide safer, sustainable and more convenient travel options for our members and the wider Western Australian community. With Sitecore, we’re now providing members with the opportunity to enjoy a personalised experience through a member portal which is simple to use with everything sitting behind one system interface,” said Richard Quance, senior manager digital and creative services, RAC WA.

“Sitecore also supports our capacity to take the organisation to the next level in service excellence with personal content pushed out based on individual member preferences.”

As the independent voice for road users in WA, RAC WA is concerned with all aspects of road and community safety. The organisation also offers motoring services and advice, insurance, travel services, finance, driver training and exclusive member benefits, including retail and travel discounts.
