Richard Chapman has been appointed CEO of Bastion Effect, the integrated communications subsidiary of Bastion Collective.

Chapman brings over 22 years marketing experience to the role, having worked across SPARK Communications, IMPACT, Mitchell Communication Group and Aegis Media. Prior to joining Bastion Effect, Richard was Managing Director of The Story Lab, Dentsu Aegis Network.”

Jack Watts, CEO of Bastion Collective Australia, said “We are thrilled to have Richard as part of the Executive team. His passion for driving strategic partnerships to deliver powerful content will be a tremendous asset for Bastion Effect, and for the broader Bastion Collective.”

Richard hit the ground running in late September and has big plans for Bastion Effect. His key priorities are to evolve the business offer to be more insights led and focused on creative content solutions; develop truly integrated communications solutions by strengthening collaboration with Bastion subsidiaries; and drive business growth in both Melbourne and Sydney.

It is no surprise that Richard’s focus on maximising partnerships and drawing on the full array of communication channels resonates deeply with the Bastion Effect team, who pride themselves on applying all their energy, insights and relationships to connect brands to consumers.

Bastion Effect is one of nine subsidy businesses under the Bastion Collective which spans the design, social, sponsorship, government advisory, research and promotional marketing.
