Report: Nine Set To Move Its HQ To High-Tech North Sydney Skyscraper

Having sold its famed Willoughby digs to Chinese property developers in May last year for a reported $148 million, the next question was where would Channel Nine move its HQ next?

New addresses in Sydney’s West had been mooted; however, it was highly unlikely the network’s flotilla of stars would want to drive all the way out there in their Audis and Mercs.

Well, according to a report in Fairfax Media this morning it appears a new HQ has been found – an as yet constructed skyscraper in North Sydney amongst the ubiquitous sushi bars, IT firms and recruitment offices.

According to reports, Nine’s bosses have entered into discussions for Winten Property Group’s 1 Denison Street project, favouring a high-tech skyscraper over the spread out campus model presently used at Willoughby.

The new site is to be built on the old North Sydney Shopping World and construction is not yet underway. Thankfully, Nine still have another five years on its lease at Willoughby.
