B&T celebrated International Women’s Day in fine style with a lunch at Fred’s in Paddington, toasting 40 of media’s most successful women along the way.

The ‘Celebrating Women’ lunch, sponsored by News Corp’s With Her In Mind Network (WHIMN), was opened by B&T’s own general manager of commercial, Cat Hay, before the room was wowed by outgoing News Corp chief digital officer Nicole Sheffield.

Sheffield highlighted a new WHIMN mentor initiative and praised the women who are behind its new mentoring program, launched yesterday.

And delivering the inspiring keynote was Dr Kirstin Ferguson, one of Australia’s most experienced company directors who sits on ASX publicly listed, private company and not-for-profit boards. Kirstin is also a board member of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, where she is chairman of the People & Remuneration Committee. Kirstin discussed her movement #CelebrateWomen, which in 2017 highlighted the achievements of two women per day, totalling 757 overall.

In keeping with the theme of mentorship, the lunch saw several attendees hosting their business mentors as a thank you for their assistance over the years. And that’s something B&T can certainly toast.

Check out all the pictures from the event in the gallery – and prepare to get some serious food (and mentor) envy.
