Red Agency Bolsters Sydney Team

Red Agency has bolstered its Sydney team with a raft of new hires following a series of recent new business wins and considerable organic growth across key practice areas.

Symon Madry has been appointed practice head for technology.

Madry brings 12 years of international and domestic experience in strategy and data-led communications to the role, including leading integrated communications for Google, Microsoft Bing, Cochlear, Motorola Solutions and NBN Co.

Moving back to Sydney after a three-year stint holding leadership roles in London at Edelman and Bite Global, Madry will lead Red’s technology and B2B practice.

Symon reports to Jackie Crossman, executive director, Sydney.

Paul Isbell comes on board as social media director, bringing his vast digital marketing expertise to the role.

Isbell previously led the social and content marketing team at Virgin Mobile, which included managing the company’s digital production output and overseeing their content strategy.

This followed on from previous roles at Red Engine SCC and Ikon as well as serving as social media manager for Bunnings.

Joining a team of more than twenty social specialists at Red Agency, Paul will report to Davitha Ghiassi, executive director, social & integration.

Kate Hird and Claire McAdam have joined as senior account managers from the UK.

Both bring dynamic skillsets to their roles with Hird joining the travel & tourism team and McAdam working across key corporate and consumer accounts.

Hird’s previous client roster includes handling the ‘London Is Open’ campaign, Rosewood Hotels and Resorts and HomeAway, while McAdam’s experience includes WeWork, Lionsgate Films and Vitabiotics.

Red Agency Group CEO James Wright commented: “The team’s efforts in recent months have continued to fuel sustained growth for the agency and we’ve backed this with a number of strategic appointments to expand the breadth and depth of our team’s capabilities.

“These new hires are fantastic additions and bring a wealth of experience in specialist areas to support our remits with new and growing clients across tech, healthcare, travel and leisure, as well as our dynamic social offering.”

All appointments are effective immediately.
