The results are in for the final radio survey period for 2014.

Here is a quick wrap up of the biggest winners from around the country with data courtesy of GfK.

Melbourne

Breakfast:

Fairfax Radio Network station 3AW and ABC774 have topped the Melbourne breakfast race with 18.5% and 13.7% audience share respectively.

Fairfax Radio Network content director Clark Forbes said: “The nation’s big stories saw audiences staying tuned to trusted news, analysis and commentary from Fairfax Radio Network’s News Talk stations.”

Triple M was the highest rating non-talk station in the timeslot with 7.8% audience share.

Drive:

FoxFM and Nova 100 were the highest rating drive programs with the two stations neck and neck. Fox captured 10.3% of audience share while Nova was just behind on 10%.

SYDNEY

Breakfast:

2GB continues its ratings dominance with a 14.8% share in the breakfast time slot.

ARN’s KIIS jumped 0.8% to 11.3% with stablemate WSFM trailing on 9.9%.

In a statement, ARN’s national content director Duncan Campbell said: “2014 has been ARN’s best ever year and survey eight rounds out not only strong growth for our stations, but a year of consistency. We have even bigger plans for 2015 with dedicated strategies in place across multiple markets with an obvious and dedicated focus on Melbourne with the launch of KIIS 101.1 and Matt Tilley & Jane Hall in Breakfast, and also Hughesy & Kate nationally in drive.”

Drive:

Nova 96.9 took out top drive honours with 10.1% audience share.

Cathy O’Connor, Nova Entertainment’s CEO said: “Nova Entertainment’s momentum and consistency has continued and we have finished the year with another great result. Having achieved so much in 2014, Nova Entertainment will continue to deliver all audiences with a well-planned strategy and a stable line up across our radio networks and business next year.”

Adelaide

Breakfast:

FIVEaa, Mix102.3 and ABC891 gave one another a real run for their money in the Adelaide breakfast slot. Both FIVEaa and Mix captured 14.2% of audience share while ABC891was just behind with 14%.

Drive:

In Adelaide drive, the race shifted to Mix102.3, Nova 91.9 and FIVEaa. Mix was the overall winner with 13% audience share while Nova followed closely behind on 12.5% and FIVEaa 12.1%.

Brisbane

Breakfast:

Nova106.9 is the clear Brisbane breakfast winner with 13.2% of the audience share. Trailing not far behind ABC612 and 97.3FM captured 12.2% and 12% audience share respectively.

Drive:

Nova106.9 also took home the drive crown with 17.7% audience share.

Perth

Breakfast:

Mix 94.5 topped the Perth breakfast timeslot with 14.3% audience share. ABC720 followed with 13.7% audience share.

Drive:

Nova93.7 took out the Perth drive slot with 15.6% audience share.
