QMS Sport Forms Strategic Alliance With Techfront Australia

Outdoor media player QMS Sport and Techfront Australia has announced a strategic alliance which sees the former expand its portfolio of sports media rights, and the latter consolidate its position as the pre-eminent supplier and operator of on-field LED signage in Australia and New Zealand.

The media sales rights to all NRL games, including the State of Origin series and select AFL games, will be consolidated under the new alliance via QMS Sport, with Techfront providing a uniformed display across all on-field LED signage, including game-day operational duties.

The expanded presence across the NRL and AFL competitions complement QMS Media’s existing media rights across the super netball, rugby union, FFA and V8 Supercars.

QMS Media chief executive John O’Neill said: “QMS Sport’s sales strategy has been to simplify brands’ access to the highly sought-after sports audience by strategically acquiring the media/marketing rights for the most popular sports, codes and events.

“This deal cements QMS Sport as the largest sports rights media business in Australia and New Zealand, and provides a dominant position across all major sporting codes in this country.

Techfront Australia’s general manager of sport, Luke Byrne, said: “Techfront Australia is looking forward to delivering and operating the largest on-field LED signage sporting program throughout Australia and New Zealand as part of this new alliance with QMS Sport.”
