P&G Inaugurates Female Entrepreneur Development Program In Singapore

Procter & Gamble has launched The Women Entrepreneurs Development Program in Singapore which will provide training to female business owners and help them grow their small and medium-sized organisations.

P&G has partnered with WEConnect International for the program in order to identify, educate, register and certify majority women-owned businesses, as well as connect them to buyers and multi-national companies around the world.

The development program starts in Singapore in 2019 and is set to become part of P&G’s long-term commitment to diversity and inclusion.

20 female businesses owners from different industries have been chosen to be part of the program and will undergo a series of training sessions run by P&G Asia Pacific employees across a 10-module curriculum.

In Singapore, 20 women business owners from various industries have been selected as part of the 2019 cohort and will go through a series of training sessions delivered by P&G Asia Pacific employees and organized in a 10-module curriculum.

P&G claims women who complete the training program will benefit from business development topics such as growth strategies, business operations, company branding, communications and leadership skills and supplier relationship management.

WEConnect International CEO and co-founder Elizabeth Vazquez said: “WEConnect International is excited to have a partner like P&G who is as committed to women’s economic empowerment as we are”.

Brazil and Costa Rica are also included in 2019’s program rollout, which has been running in China, Turkey, South Africa, Mexico, Nigeria, India and the U.S. since 2016.
