Global sports media company Perform Group has entered into a partnership with the V8 Supercars to commercialise its digital assets across Desktop, mobile and social for the coming 2015 season.
Wade Maris, head of media sales at Perform Group, says: “This is an exciting opportunity for us to be involved with the V8 Supercars, at a time when their brand continues to evolve and grow. With the sport having recently secured a new broadcast deal, and consumption of their digital assets at all-time high, the V8 Supercars is the full package that delivers for fans and brands alike. It’s a truly national, family-friendly sport, that has an innovative and clear vision for the future. We are delighted that we can help the sport continue its development by building a first-class package of digital content.”
Matt Braid, V8 Supercars commercial director, says: “V8 Supercars has seen strong growth across the business over the last year, with the most significant coming from our digital platforms. Our website, the No.1 motorsport website in Australia, is up 25% year-on-year, and our social media has seen significant growth, with Facebook doubling over the last six months.
“Working with Perform Group, which brings to the table a wealth of expertise in the building and development of digital sports content, provides us with the opportunity to capitalise on this growth and to enhance our digital offering in 2015 and into the future.”
