Bringing almost 20 years of Out Of Home (OOH) experience, McGregor was until recently the general manager of the outdoor industry body, Outdoor Media Association of New Zealand (OMANZ).

oOh!’s chief executive officer Brendon Cook said the appointment of McGregor as general manager was an important milestone for oOh! New Zealand coming at a particularly busy time.

“We welcome Adam to the oOh! team. He is an action orientated and results focused individual with a career demonstrating the ability to consistently deliver growth,” Cook said. “oOh! is currently investing dramatically in new products and technology that will enable advertisers in New Zealand to experience the best of the best. This combined with the appointment of Adam makes for a truly exciting time at oOh! New Zealand. Watch this space!”

McGregor said that while he had worked with some of the biggest agencies and brands in the world, he was excited to be joining oOh! and driving the business forward.

“It’s a wonderful challenge to be part of one of the world leaders in outdoor advertising. The business is so dynamic and oOh! is embracing some of the best technology available. oOh! has an incredible vision for the future of New Zealand OOH, including the digitisation of our assets,” he said.

“The New Zealand OOH market sits at 3.5 per cent of all advertising which is below the global benchmark of 5 per cent. Our closest neighbours in Australia have recently broken through this barrier with some fantastic growth in 2014. The potential is absolutely there for OOH to achieve the same success in New Zealand and oOh! knows what to do to get there.”

McGregor will take up his position of general manager of oOh! New Zealand in early August.
