OMD Still Tops For Media New Business Wins For Month Of May

Media agency OMD has retained top spot on R3’s New Business League list for new business wins for the month of May.

The agency stormed to the top of the table last month on the back of a number of significant wins, namely the lucrative Coles business from rival UM.

The New Business League is published monthly by marketing efficiency company R3 and looks at agency performance and marketing ROI for clients.

The table is compiled using data supplied by 26 multinational agencies on a monthly basis. The company also measures the data against client estimates and Nielsen data.

OMD’s stellar patch continued for May with new business wins that included Target, Village Roadshow and the energy drink manufacturer Furcor. However, it did relinquish the (building products business) BGC.

Carat moved up one spot to second with wins that included (insurance company) Greenstone, (glass firm) Bailey Nelson, (not for profit organisation) Baptcare, and the Grocery Council of WA.

GroupM slipped won spot to third but managed to secure the Westpac business.

In terms of the biggest movers and shakers Initiative fell eight spots from ninth to seventeenth and M2M also dropped eight spots to twentieth.
