NZ News Presenter Skips Weather Segment, Drops F-bomb Live On Air

Nothing pleases B&T more on a Friday than running a story about a journo gaffe, so you can imagine our excitement when we stumbled upon this pearler.

Eric Young, a veteran news anchor for Prime News in New Zealand, managed not one but two cock-ups during a recent 5:30pm bulletin.

The first one was not so much his fault as it was the producers’, signing off early and skipping the weather segment (which generally comes last in a news bulletin) altogether.

Young remained impressively poised following his sign-off, but soon found himself in a discussion with one of the technical crew members, where he questioned the absence of the weather, and even dropped an expletive – all while the camera was still rolling.

This isn’t the first time that Young has stuffed up on air, having been caught making a rude gesture to the camera during a news segment in 2011.
