Radio network NOVA Entertainment has partnered with one of Melbourne’s most well-known and respected charity events for a third consecutive year.

Nova 100 and smoothfm 91.5 will officially partner with the Good Friday Appeal by providing extensive on-air, on-line and social support, as well as active involvement in key fundraising activities including Feaster, PJ Day, Kick For the Kids, Good Friday on-line raffle, Run for the Kids and Kids Day Out.

Peter Colosimo, NOVA Entertainment’s Melbourne general manager, said: “Most Melbournians have had first-hand experience with the Royal Children’s Hospital at some stage during their lives.

“The Good Friday Appeal plays a huge role in raising funds for this important institution, and we are delighted to continue our partnership to highlight and provide scale to their fundraising efforts.”

Anne Randall, director of the Good Friday Appeal, said: “We are thrilled to have the support of NOVA Entertainment again for the 2018 Good Friday Appeal. It’s great to work with the super-talented teams at Nova and smoothfm.

“This support enables us to reach a really broad audience in promoting the wonderful work of the Royal Children’s Hospital and encouraging donations to [the] appeal.”

Nova 100 will support Run for the Kids in one of the station’s biggest activations this Sunday. Nova 100’s ‘Selfie Zone’ will allow participants to capture the moment they reach the top of the Bolte Bridge, while a Nova cheer squad will motivate competitors during the run.

In addition, Nova 100 will provide a recovery zone for runners with massage therapists, a DJ and a photo both activation at the finish line.

Nova 100 will also be part of Kids Day Out on Friday 30 March from 10am. Entry is free with selected activities $3 and other activities by gold coin donation.

The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre at South Wharf will be transformed into a wonderland for children with Nova activating on site with a kid’s disco, a giant inflatable slide and soccer goals, and Nova 100’s ice cream parlour will be serving Harry’s Ice Cream.

Mike Perso and Jennifer Hansen from smoothfm 91.5’s More Music Breakfast Show will host a Feaster Long Lunch for listeners on Friday 23 March, and the breakfast show will encourage additional donations via fundraising events in the lead up to Good Friday. smoothfm will also create a family friendly relaxation zone at the Good Friday Appeal’s Kids Day Out with massages, a tea cup ride, kid’s yoga, a photo booth and meet and greet opportunities with smoothfm announcers – Cameron Daddo, Mike Perso and Jennifer Hansen – on the day.

Nova 100 and smoothfm 91.5 will also support the appeal by implementing a number of internal fundraising activities driven by staff in the lead up to Good Friday Appeal.

McCann’s Action-Packed Army Ad Plays Out Like A War Flick Or Video Game

Most army recruitment ads tend to steer clear of the blindingly obvious of military life – you get a gun to shoot the enemy or you get shot yourself. More so, agencies aren’t overly keen on promoting recruitment ads that are heavy on the guns or violence, preferring lifestyle or technical aspects of military life.
