Nine Promotes Sam Brennan To Director Of Sales For Melbourne

Aussie media behemoth Nine has announced the promotion of Sam Brennan to lead the company’s Melbourne sales team.

For the past five years, Brennan has held the role of director of sales for sport, leading Nine’s national sports sales teams focused on its key NRL, cricket and netball properties.

Nine’s chief sales officer, Michael Stephenson, said Brennan has done a fantastic job leading the company’s sports sales offering, and the promotion is recognition of his outstanding achievements.

“Sam’s strategic focus, leadership style and outstanding character make him the perfect person to lead our talented Melbourne team and continue the great work Matt Scriven has done over the past six years,” Stephenson said.

Commenting on his new role, Brennan said: “I’m tremendously excited to lead Nine’s Melbourne sales team.

“It is a unique market with fantastic clients, and I’m excited about the opportunity to work with our great team and continue to deliver strong results for our Melbourne-based clients.”

Nine said in a statement that a replacement for the position of director of sales for sport will be named in due course.

Brennan’s promotion comes just a week after Matt Scriven was chosen to replace Ian Paterson (who has taken up the position of director of commercial partnerships and affiliates) as managing director for Nine in Melbourne.
