Network Ten has reportedly found the drawcard for the next season of its popular romance reality TV series The Bachelor.

Former Wallabies star and Aussie larrikin Nick “The Honey Badger” Cummins is set to step into the shoes previously filled by Matty Johnson, who found love on The Bachelor last season, according to a number of media outlets.

The Daily Telegraph has reported that Ten is keen to continue its winning formula of having someone with a profile and a sense of humour, with Sophie Monk’s season on The Bachelorette proving a ratings winner for the network last year.

Cummins has been the face of underwear brand Tradie since 2015 and is an ambassador for Tourism Australia. He has also featured in ads for Head and Shoulders, The Iconic, and Iron Jack.

Apart from being a successful rugby union player at international level, The Honey Badger is well-known for his use of Aussie slang that is somewhat recognised as his own language.

B&T has contacted Ten for comment.
