Hardie Grant has announced the appointment for Nick Hardie-Grant as its managing director for the company’s content and publishing agency, Hardie Grant Media.

Nick takes over from company co-founder Fiona Hardie-Grant, who has been acting managing director for the past 12 months.

Fiona will return to the position of chair for Hardie Grant Media, which she holds alongside being a director of Hardie Grant.

Nick joined the Hardie Grant business as chief digital officer in May 2016, working across Hardie Grant Media, Hardie Grant Publishing and HGX, before becoming head of digital for Hardie Grant Media in January 2017.

He has also previously worked at digital agencies Reactive and Isobar, most recently as an account director.

Of the new appointment, Fiona said: “With his background working in digital agencies, Nick is ideally credentialed to ensure Hardie Grant Media meets its ambition to be Australia’s leading content and publishing agency, and continues to generate the quality of work that has always been a hallmark of Hardie Grant Media.”

Commenting on his new role, Nick said: “It’s a really exciting time to be leading the business, as we’re evolving our offering and continuing to build on the great work we’re doing.

“I’m especially pleased to inherit a team with really strong skills who place us perfectly to meet the expectations of our blue-chip clients and give us the capacity to deliver high quality and effective content strategy.”

Nick will commence his new role on Monday 5 June.
