NewsLifeMedia Hires Editor For Buro 24/7 Australia

NewsLifeMedia’s lifestyle publisher Nick Smith today announced that Rebecca Caratti has been appointed editor of lifestyle portal Buro247.com.au.

In her new role, which she starts immediately, Caratti will be responsible for the editorial direction and growth of the exciting new digital platform in Australia. She will report to Smith.

With more than 10 years’ fashion media experience Caratti has a strong editorial and commercial approach to publishing with a sophisticated eye and modern take on fashion, culture and lifestyle.

She joins Buro247.com.au following15 months in London and Paris working as a freelance stylist and fashion writer. Prior to her time overseas Caratti was the style editor at Vogue Australia where she remained a contributor to Vogue Australia and Miss Vogue; and before that, market editor for Harper’s Bazaar.

Caratti will be supported by Yeong Sassall in the role of commercial editor. Sassall was previously senior lifestyle producer at NewsLifeMedia creating editorial content for GQ.com.au and bodyandsoul.com.au and driving network referral across the company’s digital brands. Prior to this Sassall was a freelance fashion, entertainment, lifestyle and health writer contributing to Daily Life and Harper’s Bazaar online; and before that, features writer for Cosmopolitan. 

Buro 24/7 Australia will officially launch in April when its founder Miroslava Duma travels to Australia for Australian Fashion Week for the official launch of the site and to meet with key advertisers for the brand.

The launch of Buro 24/7 Australia has attracted major sponsorship from luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co. and Destination NSW.
