News.Com.Au Has India Beating India In Headline Gaffe

Look, we’re not doing a whole heap of work at B&T just four days before Christmas so we kinda empathise with this stuff-up on News.com.au today.

We can only assume the subs are on annual leave after this clanger of a headline read that India had beaten itself four-zip in the recent Test series on the subcontinent.

Just for the record, the series was actually against the English and India did indeed win the series four to nothing. In fact, the final Test, which finished over the weekend, saw the Indians hand it to the Poms with a thumping innings and 75 run loss. And that’s on top of the English scoring a respectable 477 in their first dig. Sadly, their 207 in the second still wasn’t good enough to match the Indians’ first innings total of 7-declared for 759.
