Monday TV Wrap: Seven Enjoys Post-Games Halo Effect As MKR Wins The Night

Seven appears to be enjoying a post-Commonwealth Games halo effect with its Monday night serving of news, MKR and The Good Doctor all doing the business last night.

MKR was the most watched show of the evening, pulling 1.25 million viewers. Nine’s The Voice still can’t crack the million-mark, managing 930,000. While Bachelor In Paradise hasn’t been the winner Ten would’ve hoped, pulling 676,000.

Seven won last night with 33.6 per cent audience share. Nine was second with 25.5 per cent, and the ABC (17.3 per cent) again beat Ten (16.3 per cent) for third. Commonwealth Games watchers appear to have headed back to SBS (7.3 per cent), who had one of its better nights in some time.

Seven’s 6pm news bulletin (1.13 million) won the bragging rights over rival Nine (992,000). Nine’s ACA also had a good night with 859,000 tuning-in.

The Good Doctor also did well for Seven with 855,000 and its other best was Home And Away with 784,000.

Ten’s The Project also had one of its better evenings for a while, pulling 570,000.

Over at the ABC, its Monday night of current affairs went this way: ABC News (766,000), 7:30  (634,000), Australian Story (594,000), Media Watch (594,000), Four Corners (583,000), Q&A (390,000) and Think Tank (208,000).

For SBS, Elizabeth was its big drawcard, pulling 266,000 sets of eyeballs.
